Alan Lockett (Executive Chairman)
Alan is the former Managing Director of Olympia Resources Limited, a company he founded in 1997 and listed on the ASX (OLY) in late 2004. Olympia Resources Limited is an emerging producer of mineral sands and industrial garnet.
Alan has significant experience in locating mineral reserves, securing the required capital and setting up the infrastructure to have the resources commercially mined. He has been involved in the listing of mining companies and has been heavily involved in the resource sector for many years.
As a result of his exposure to the resource sector, Alan has developed many contacts within both the mining and project finance industries.
Alan is a major shareholder of Northern Mining and offers his project finance skills, strategic planning and general corporate experience to the Board.
Craig Dawson – (Managing Director)
Previous position, General Manager – Operations Projects and Technical Services with Norilsk Nickel Australia. Craig is an experienced mining engineer with more than 20 years in the Australian resources industry in a range of commodities, with a particular focus on nickel and gold. Craig has a wide range of operational and management experience including senior management roles and holds qualifications in Mine Surveying, Mining Engineering and Business Administration. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Tony Lofthouse BSc (Hons Geol) MBA
(Non-Executive Director)
Tony has an Honours Degree in Geology from the London University Royal School of Mines, and a MBA from the University of Western Australia. He has 30 years experience in all aspects of the global resources sectors including metal exploration, equity analysis and equity funding mechanisms, debt funding and commodity hedging; corporate advice and general and specialised banking services for large and small resource companies.
Ali Susanto (Non-Executive Director)
Ali was born in North Sumatra – Indonesia. Ali is a successful businessman who has been a resident of Australia for the last 8 years and who has more than 30 years of project finance experience in the oil and gas and mining industries. During the last 8 years, Ali has been actively involved in corporate finance within the gold and coal sectors. He has also been involved with the export of coal and heavy mineral sands to China and to India.
Ali is the managing director of Sinarco Gold and Oil Pty Limited, a Melbourne based company that has acquired gold and coal assets in Indonesia.
Over the years Ali has developed a vast network of personal business contacts within Australia and throughout the developing economies of Asia. Ali offers to the Company this network of important contacts which will assist with the export of the Company’s mineral commodities.
Ali speaks fluent Chinese, Indonesian and English languages. He travels extensively to Indonesia, Singapore and China.
Malcolm Randall (Non-Executive Director)
Malcolm has extensive knowledge and experience in the corporate, management and marketing areas within the resources sector, including more than 20 years with the Rio Tinto group of companies. His experience extends over a broad range of commodities in Australia and internationally.
Ian McCubbing (Non-Executive Director)
Ian is Executive Finance Director of Territory Resources Limited (ASX:TTY). He is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years corporate experience including five years investment banking in corporate finance and M&A. Ian has previously worked as CFO to TTY and spent more than 12 years working with ASX listed companies in senior finance roles in industrial and mining companies.
Ross Kestel (Company Secretary)
Ross is both a Chartered Accountant and Certified Practising Accountant and has been a Director of the accounting practice Nissen Kestel Harford since July 1980. He has acted as a Director and Company Secretary of a number of public companies involved in mineral exploration, mining, mine services property development, manufacturing and technology industries.
Ross is a Registered Company Auditor and a member of the Institute of Company Directors.
