Tier 3 Projects

NORTHERN TERRITORY PROJECT

NMI’s Northern Territory Projects are situated in a highly prospective area for uranium and base metals. NMI’s Milton Park Project E24746 abuts Farm‐In Partner NuPower Resources Limited’s E24548 (immediately south) and immediately east E24956. In 2008, these tenements were the subject of extensive follow‐up airborne surveys over palaeo‐channel systems discovered by NuPower. Final reprocessed images from the AEM survey of the interpreted basement revealed the central and northern parts are overlain by an extensive sub-basin open to the west. This sub-basin has the potential to contain good sequences of reduced sediments that would be suitable hosts for secondary uranium accumulation. A scout rotary mud drilling programme will be carried out to follow-up these results.

The Projects:

  1. > 5,000 square kilometres tenement area (6 projects).
  2. Close to Alice Springs infrastructure.
  3. Milton Park Project: Excellent potential secondary uranium deposits.
  4. Extensive airborne surveys to be conducted in 2008.
